Welcome to our evolving open archive for criticism and reviews. It is available to anyone to propose anything, but it has to meet a simple criterion: that it is alive to what is at stake. Why does the thing being written about matter? And why does it matter that it is being written about now? We want to become acquainted with the machinic values of culture, as in what it does and how it works. Fashion as dialectic. Architecture as episteme. Art as capital. The digital as texture. You get the idea. Within this broad scope we welcome writing old and new, already written or yet to be imagined. It could be just as much an anonymous or speculative voice as your own. We are not interested in closed circuits, ‘artworld’, begfriending, jargon, water coolers, weak celebrity culture, departments, spectacles or soft social work. We are interested in the relevant and the perennial, the retrospective glances, the vouchers to be redeemed sur une crise, whatever it is that has now reached a fever point, demanding our attention. It could come in the form of a review, a critique, a provocation, a speculation or a fiction. All texts are recovered texts: we will give your orphans and failures a home. All media and languages are welcome. As a critical pathfinder we shall publish regular posts on the use and abuse of keywords as found in the media – an antidote to the dilution of criticism at large and a gesture towards mobilising the faint power of Recursive Remnants and Accidental Glosses of now.
